DiVino Privacy Policy

DiVino (“we”, “our”, “the app”) helps you identify wines, manage your cellar, and get sommelier guidance. We built DiVino to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we process and why.

What we process

• Photos you scan. When you scan a wine label or a restaurant wine list, the image is sent to our server and to our AI providers solely to identify the wine and generate results. Scan images are processed transiently and are not retained on our servers after your result is returned.
• Your cellar data. The bottles, notes, ratings, lists and locations you add are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your cellar to our servers.
• Usage limits. Counts used to manage the free tier are stored on your device.
• Diagnostics. Standard, non-identifying technical information may be processed to keep the service reliable.

AI & third-party services

To deliver results we use third-party services including OpenAI (identification, tasting notes, sommelier and menu features), Serper (label grounding and local price search), and an optional wine-ratings provider. Images and text necessary for your request are shared with these providers to fulfil it. We never sell your data.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we send occasional reminders (e.g. bottles entering their drinking window). You can turn these off at any time in iOS Settings.

Your choices

You can delete any bottle or your entire cellar from within the app, and revoke camera, photo and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes locally stored data.

Children

DiVino is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed at children.
